Herbs can be used as teas, smokes, oils, and baths to help us to deepen our intuitive wisdom and spiritual awareness. They can also aid us when we get stung by bees or mosquitoes or strain our muscles in yoga class. These plants are all around us, in fields and woods, in our backyards, and even in the city. As we walk around the farm we’ll see, smell, touch, and taste a variety of herbs and do a plant meditation, too.

We
come together in a timeless healing language of vibration, the song of
light. We come together in sacred ceremony to pray, to heal, to sing,
to create sacred space, and to remember who we truly are.
We
come together in a circle and explore the sacred space that is created
through our gathering. From this wide open space, this circle womb, a
genetrix language is created through our voices, and through the
vibration of the crystal bowls. In circles goes our sound, moving
beyond ourselves, we become from many, one.
We ask the audience
to participate with their hearts, spirits, and minds. Within this
participatory arising, a feedback loop of reciprocity occurs, at once
organic and yet with enough form to explore the subtleties of energies
that arise through the sound prayer. Each bowl is a guide and
transmitter, a drone and intention amplifier, creating a harmonic
landscape through which our voices weave a web of light. We journey
through the void and back again, moving in resonance through the breath,
the body, and the voice, generating peace, love, awareness, and
compassion.

_________________________ Alyona Mindlin Alyona was first introduced to movement at age 5 with ballet. Her
ballet years, of which there were 10 were lead by a strict Russian
teacher, Olga Kressin. The practice focused on creating the perfect
line.
After years of dancing and not being able to hone in on a steady
balance, her friend Claire Melbourne invited her to a yoga class. That
was seven years ago, and since then, she has been hooked.
While studying yoga, Alyona became fascinated with natural geometry
and line in the visual form. She spent seven years taking images with a
prime focus on line. Her latest series, Dancers Playground (nude
ballerina's and modern dancers on construction sites) coupled with a
lifelong lust for line and yoga gave birth to Bhakti Metric. Bhakti
defined by the surrender to universal love and will; Metric, the study
of lines and geometry.
In surrendering to the universal will and love of lines, an innate
understanding of the human body unfolds. We are a grid of lines (bones,
nerves, energetic channels, etc.) Alyona incorporates her studies in
movement and photography, coupled with vinyasa, kundalini, meditation,
eft, vibrational sounds and the students in front of her to create an
intricate sequence steeped in repetition to unlock the body into the
magic that it is.
She is grateful to her teachers at Kula Yoga Project for unlocking
her body and introducing her to precise alignment within a creative
sequence. .

David Nebiolo Joint Therapy With David Nebiolo, DPT This workshop will present practical, basic methods to assess and self-treat common postural dysfunction in the hips, pelvis, and low back. Asymmetrical lumbosacral posture is often acquired, affecting joint and soft-tissue function throughout the foot- knee-trunk kinematic chain. This can lead to further problems of recurrent pain, loss of motion, joint and muscle hyper/hypomobilty, intervertebral disc stress, nerve impingement, etc. Topics will cover basic review of anatomy, joint mechanics, segmental mobility, gentle self-mobilization, SNAG technique, counter-strain relaxation, repetitive range-of-motion, McKenzie theory, self-traction, therapeutic exercises, and more. Common postural and chronic problems involving the lower cervical spine will also be covered with therapeutic exercise and hands-on treatment techniques presented. Based on time and needs we may also cover areas of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, ankle, and foot. Participants will be encouraged to work in small groups with exercises and hands-on modalities to try. Printed notes will be given to promote learning and integration of these ideas in yogic practice over time. Included will be safety guidelines for self-treatment, red flags, and indications for consultation with a physician. ________________________________________________ Beth Nolan Beth Nolan has been in the holistic health field for over 20 years.

Amy Jean Matre-Pastore
My love of yoga evolved from my love of fitness. For years I spent hours at the gym running, cycling, kick boxing, and doing karate. Eventually I began mixing vinyasa yoga classes into my workout, thinking I was getting a good stretch. Little did I know that these yoga classes would spark a new interest in my life. Something about the practice kept bringing me back. It was a meditation in motion and was so much more than just the physical. Yoga gave me the most amazing healthy high and I was hooked. In time, my running shoes were replaced by my mat and my boxing gloves, with blocks and straps. I cancelled my gym membership and replaced it with a yoga studio membership. It didn’t take long to realize that I needed to share my love of yoga with others and I began my first teacher training program. My training includes:
*200 hr Anusara Teacher Training with Todd Norian and Ann Green. *Both Basic and Advanced Teacher Training certifications, White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara with Ganga White and Tracy Rich. *Yoga Synthesis Initial and Advanced Teacher Training with Raji Thron *Teacher Training Boot camp with Baron Baptiste *Restorative Teacher Training with Ellen Pfeffer. *Anusara immersions: 1 with Chaya Spencer 2 &3 with Todd Norian & Ann Green. *Trance Dance Teacher Training with Shiva Rea.
She has also studied with well known yoga teachers such as Edward Clark, Anna Forrest, Julie Gudested, David Swenson, John Friend, Elena Brower, Sianna Sherman, Kenny Graham, Dharma Mittra, Max Strom and Beryl Bender Birch. performances to inspire people and open hearts. Joe Smellow composes
all music for the dances and plays a variety of instruments from guitar,

our angelic soprano, expresses divinity through her voice. Gerasimous

Santiparro Scheurman
Alan
Santiparro Scheurman is a musician, artist, writer, permaculturist, and
healer/student of the medicine path. Santiparro
signifies “the lens that sees many things not usually seen” or
"magnifying glass". This was the name given to Scheurman by a Huichol
ma’arakame while taking a pilgrimage to the sacred desert lands known
as Wirikuta – the place where the very first peyote cactus appeared in
the Earth. Like the name indicates, Santiparro’s songs are a delicate
weaving of stardust and spirit, ether and earth, bringing to light the
invisible through a magnification of the subtle space in between the
breath and the beat of the heart. He readily taps into the eternal
source to bring out the truth of his experience in a song that teaches
while it plays with the listener. If only one thing has been
consistent in his musical career, it has been that place of truth as it
has
evolved from the expression of his own dark depression to the light of
accumulated and integrated spiritual wisdom, clearly resulting from
Scheurman’s affinity for and time spent with many elders and wisdom
keepers of the Americas. His
organization EcoZoic works to
assist indigenous communities with permaculture education through
fundraising efforts and sales of traditional ceremonial art. At
present, the campaign is focused on the Huichol villages of the Sierra
Madre Occidental in order to provide resources to address their water
needs due to rapid deforestation over the past few decades. Scheurman
lives in Brooklyn. He is available for private and public healing
sessions and specializes in vibratory channeling, chakra balancing with
crystals, altar construction and activation, smudging and cleansing
rituals, sound heaing meditations and musical events.

should be free. We offer many different types of Yoga, and we do it all
by donation. We have teachers certified in Hatha, Vinyassa, Kirpalu,
Kundalini, and Dharma Mittra Yoga, as well as different forms of martial
arts. The name Skanda refers to Shivas son, the God of War, which
expresses our unique blend of martial Yoga taught by Skanda and Ananda
Woods. This form of Yoga uses all the basic Yoga poses, but adds
additional awareness into the martial applications of the poses, which
gives more people a good reason to stretch and receive the benefits of
Yoga, who might not be interested otherwise. We are particularly good
at teaching first time students, and people who are not naturally drawn
to the mystical aspect of Yoga, especially young adults.
